Mahatma Gandhi was a
great man who thought ahead of his time.
He believed in power with no violence and he achieved his objective of
independence for India with no guns.
His achievements are
legendary, simply because such a simple achieved so much through his
determination and humility in the face of danger.
Subservience is the
result of the fear to be myself. I do
not have the courage to face, to change, to move in another direction.
Self respect releases
me from fear and dependence because I
realise that I should not be a pawn for other people’s power games.
The consequences
that nothing belongs to me makes me a
master. The master is humble and self
sufficient, having the natural attitude of maintaining the balance and harmony
in all things.
The greatest humility
of all is to recognise and accept that there are laws above human beings.
A king wearing crown
rules over his kingdom only, whereas a man with humility rules over the hearts
of men of all ages.
Where there is
humility, there is willingness to learn. Ego is a ghost which does not allow a
person to lead a normal life.

“ You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy my body,
but you will never imprison my mind.”
